New! Summer Camp For Professionals and MBA Skill Building
By Popular Demand!
Our students asked .. and Discovery delivers! This new series builds critical MBA skills with the 2003 Excel, Word and PowerPoint computer training needed for three unique sessions. The economy challenges each employee to build 21st century skills into their skill set. These sessions allow students not only to learn MBA skills at a fraction of the cost and time --- and deliver completed projects to their workplace!
- What is the Program: Our "Summer Camp" features (3) three separate one-day classes:
- Strategic Planning: July 14, 2009, Tuesday
- Budgeting and Forecasting: July 30, 2009, Thursday
- Managing a Project: August 5, 2009, Wednesday
-
Why attend? Each session maximizes your training investment and employee time. Target the three most important components for managers or those employees yearning to advance. Whether a refresher for some, or new skills for others-- these sessions also offer the opportunity to network and learn from students in other industries. These economic times demand more proactive planning and analysis to preserve your company's competitive edge -- and increase your employee value. It's a plus also to add this training and completed exercise to your Human Resource Performance plan and measured objectives to improve and/or advance.

What's Different about our Series: Following a cohort MBA model, a team of up to seven students will train, lunch, create and present together. In the morning, students will build plans specific to their job requirements. After lunch, students create and present a slideshow summarizing their morning plans. Each session ends with students presenting and practicing the public speaking skills in front of the team and special guests.
-
Who should attend?: Managers and supervisors should attend -- new to planning or refresher for those too hectic to complete for 2010.
